Just not a huge fan of romantic game boards. I must admit, however, that I forced myself to try Speak Love Make Love. It didn't seem too corny or sappy, so I gave it a shot. My boyfriend and I have been together for four years and in that time, we've obviously been through a lot. It had been a while since we had one of those heart-to-heart chats - this was a great opportunity to journey beyond an average day together.
We decided to turn the lights off, light some candles and play Thelonious Monk and Coltrane: Live at Carnegie Hall. The mood was set. We both agreed that honesty would prevail. It did. It took us about an hour and a half to finish the game. There were moments of emotional discomfort, but those moments faded as we shared our souls with one another. The game certainly made me emotional, but it was something I needed. Most couples could benefit from trying this game.

I agree with the last reviewer. I didn't anticipate a wonderful outcome emerging from my participation in Speak Love Make Love. I wouldn't say all my relationship problems have been solved, but there were some significant benefits. Honestly, I simply enjoyed the change of pace it brought about in our house. Too often less important matters disconnect me from my loved ones, especially my significant other. The game provided a perfect opportunity for relaxation and intimacy. Not too cheesy or sappy, so I am 100% glad I took a chance on this game.

I expected Speak Love Make Love to go beyond the farthest borders of lameness. I couldn't think of anything worse than playing this game. I was tricked into playing it, however; and I quickly grew found of its philosophical approach to honesty, and how that honesty supports a healthy relationship. The questions/directions kept me on the edge of my seat. I had no idea what was coming next, so the mysteriousness of it all really had an emotional appeal. I liked the game. It's amazing what happens when you have an open mind to something new.

I haven't seen one gay review of any romantic games on this website. As a result of this lacking, I will offer my humble opinion on Speak Love Make Love.
First, I generally find it difficult to open myself up. It doesn't matter how long I've been with the person...I still find it difficult. Analyze as you wish, but it's been a fact of my experience.
Second, I've wanted something to aid me in that "opening up" process. Nothing I tried worked. That is, until I bought Speak Love Make Love. The game came natural to me, like I was supposed to play it. For the first time ever, I started sharing myself with little regard for the consequences. My fears melted away. This is growth for me. After finishing the game, I had the most amazing sexual experience of my life. I felt completely connected to my partner in every way.
I MUST give this game a positive, if not perfect rating.

My husband and I LOVE this game. Each time we play it...something new experience presents itself, usually something that takes our relationship to another level -- sexually and emotionally. I read somewhere that such games beat counseling, and I couldn't agree more. Obviously, though, both people have to be willing to tell the truth. I've played most of the sensual, romantic board games. More Foreplay is probably my favorite, with Speak Love Make Love in a close second. Intimacy is the objective, and both games accomplish that. Neither is too pricey, but both will have a profound impact on the participants. It can get a little intense at certain moments, but that's where it gets interesting. My husband prefers Make Love Speak Love, so keep that in mind, ladies.
