Opus

compromises: TPR instead of silicone, no rechargeable, weak motor I'll tell you right upfront, I've really been digging these new toys from Evolved, and I've been dying to try one out. When I finally got my hands on the Opus, I couldn't want to see what all the fuss was about.

The Opus is an attempt to take some of the benefits of a more expensive sex toy and package it in a way that is more affordable. They kept all of the style and class that is exclusive to the high end toys, but used cheaper TPR material instead of silicone; normal batteries instead of rechargeable, and a weaker motor than most high end toys might have.

These drawbacks definitely will make a difference for some folks. There are a number of people who will only use silicone toys. There are others who will only buy toys with rechargeable batteries. Myself - I'm more about whatever's going to get me off.

The Opus works well in that department. The motor, while not as powerful as other vibes I've used, is still plenty strong and completely quiet. Used externally, the Opus brought me to climax rather quickly, but it wasn't the type of orgasm that leaves me babbling.

Used internally, I felt it to be mostly useless as the motor is in the very top of the toy. It did not come anywhere close to my g-spot, and it just felt weird. I've experienced this with other dildos that have vibrating tips, and I just don't understand why manufacturers would do this.

This is by no means a bad toy, and I'd definitely say that they're on the right track with this one. If they moved the motor a little lower or put a g-spot curve in the shaft it would be a real keeper.

Interlude

This toy is pure class. I've never been able to understand why so many vibrators come in cheap cardboard or plastic boxes, complete with pictures of half-naked third-rate female models. There's just nothing unsexier to me.

The Interlude is obviously made for people like me, who want their toys to look sexy as well as feel sexy. The manufacturer really developed a complete package here. The Interlude comes in a sexy tin case, decorated with swirly designs. Inside the tin, the toy comes nestled in a bed of crushed velvet, a gem on a jeweler's pillow. Hell, the toy even has a classy name!

Needless to say, I was ready to get going immediately. I popped some batteries in, which by the way, was very simple. Figuring out how to get the batteries into toys can sometimes ruin your whole experience. The interlude has a removable battery pack that makes changing batteries a breeze. I turned the toy on and a whisper-quiet motor began buzzing.

I'll say right upfront: the vibrations are not really all that strong. In fact, I kept wishing for more on my clitoris, and when used internally, the vibrations were barely noticeable. The construction of the toy is superb though. It's a perfect size, and the ridges that run down the length of the shaft make insertion really easy. The ridges are small enough so that you (or your partner) can twist the Interlude without it hurting. In fact, I'd even go so far as to say that the sensation produced by twisting the toy was the Interlude's best feature!

If the Interlude had stronger vibrations, I think it would be a definite winner. As-is, it's a better than average vibe in an amazing package.

Seduction

The Symphony comes from a brand new manufacturer who's basically created a line of beginner vibrators, but with a level of quality that's a step above what we've come to expect from typical entry-level vibes.

The first thing I noticed about this is its packaging. It comes in a really nice looking velvet-lined metal box - it almost reminds me of a glorified Altoids tin. If you've ever has the pleasure of unwrapping a Liv or a Lily, you'll have an idea of what this experience is like; the feeling of quality is obvious even before you have the toy in your hands.

The vibrations from the Symphony are not the strongest and not the weakest. The toy is constructed of a soft, almost velvety plastic, which really transmits the vibrations well. On the other hand, the motor itself is not the strongest, so it balances out to provide a good enough buzz to get most women off, but this is not one that'll deliver an orgasm through your jeans, if you know what I mean.

The controls are super simple - three speeds, cycled with each press of a button. As a matter of personal taste, I prefer vibrators with a twisting or sliding speed control so my lover can very slo-w-l-y increase the vibrations. There's nothing wrong with a button controller, and many people prefer it - it's just not my favorite.

This would also make a great sexy gift, and I can't imagine anyone who would fail to be impressed by the Symphony's excellent packaging and presentation. All in all, this is one of the best beginner's toys around.

Slimline G

When I got this vibrator, I took one look at it and thought, "Gee, yet another one of these". Here's the thing though: once I popped some batteries in this sucker, I was surprised by the powerful vibrations. So into the bedroom I went with my new Slimline G vibe.

I tried it first without any attachments. The vibrations were extremely intense - too much so for this reviewer. The hard plastic that the toy is made of simply does not have any give, and the vibrations just seemed too "sharp" and almost painful.

Round 2: I put the smooth sleeve on the vibrator head, and gave that a shot. Sweet sweet surprise! The sleeve's soft material mellowed out the vibrations quite a bit. If you've ever put a corner of your blanket between your vibrator and your clit, you'll have some idea of what this feels like, but the Cyberskin is so much softer. The vibrations seemed to spread out through the entire sleeve, making it much less intense.

After a couple of really nice orgasms with the smooth sleeve, I decided to switch over to the bumpy sleeve. The vibrations easily travel down through each of the bumps, and provide an even more subtle buzz. It was almost impossible to even separate the vibrations out - the bumps provided more of a steady huummmmmm.

Perhaps I was just a but worn out after the smooth sleeve, but the bumpy one was just not quite enough for me. All in all though, I'd say that this toy definitely provides enough variety for just about anyone looking for something a little less expensive.

Rolling Toy Trunk

I spoke to the owner of For Your Nymphomation the other day, and she was telling me that she had just returned from overseas. She personally went to make a surprise visit at the factory where they make her toy cases, just to make sure the quality was as high as she demands. After telling me this, she related an amusing anecdote about how she personally inspects each case after it leaves the factory, and now her entire garage is filled with cases that have a little scratch or some other minor imperfection. Simply put, she will not sell anything but perfection.

The Rolling Toy Trunk is made to the standards that one might expect of luxury luggage. In fact, at first glance it appears to be just that. Once you open it though, there is an enormous assortment of pockets, straps, and other knickknacks means to secure and store darn near every sex toy a naught girl or buy could want.

I could describe the details of this Rolling Toy Trunk, but the product description provided above really is quite accurate, and I was able to neatly organize my previously sprawling toy collection. Bottom line - they spared no expense. Everything about this trunk, from the material to the wheels, is absolutely first rate.

Chill Pill

Technically a bullet-style vibrator, the Chill Pill is really more of a half-size vibrator a la the Mini Corsair, the Dreamer Vibe, or the Laya Spot. The Chill Pill does have a definite bullet shape but it's a powerful vibrator that is surprisingly high quality for the money. Rarely does one find a nice looking vibe that's also waterproof, packs a nice buzz, and even comes with batteries, for this low of a price.

My only real complaint is that it requires "N" batteries. These can be found at Radio Shack, but usually not at your local supermarket. So the "batteries included" is a little bittersweet. Sure, it's great that I don't have to go hunting down batteries, and it's double-great that I don't have to fiddle with getting the durn things in. But it's not going to be great when the batteries run out and I have to get new ones. Anyway - for what it's worth, I've used the Chill Pill several times already and the batteries show no signs of weakening.

Overall, this is not going to be anything too special if you already have a similar sex toy, but if you don't have anything like this, I'd say it's a great beginner's vibe.

Toychest

This is a serious storage case for serious sex toy enthusiasts. If you have lots of larger toys or BSDM gear, the Toychest is going to suit you well. As you can see from the picture, the Toychest will hold just about everything sex related - except your lover.

As you can probably imagine, being a sex toy reviewer has resulted in an absolutely huge personal toy collection. This case held literally everything with room to spare, so being the comprehensive toy reviewer I am, I folded up some lingerie and used the leftover plastic pockets to store that. Even with all of my toys in the case, I still managed to fit almost all of my "A-list" lingerie - and that was without squeezing anything in. If I had to, I could have fit much more in, but this was simply a test of what the case was designed to comfortably hold.

Built with the high quality that For Your Nymphomation's cases are known for, this case is a great investment!

Foot Long Case

Compared to the more popular Toybox, the main difference with this case is that it's about half the size and soft-sided. In fact, this resembles my makeup bag more than anything else. Unlike my makeup bag though, The Foot Long Case is made out of a really pretty faux leather. Yes, it's not real leather, but as an animal rights activist, that's something I prefer anyway. And besides, with quality this high, it's pretty much impossible to tell.

This case is large enough to hold 1 large toy like the Miracle Massager and 1-2 small toys, or several small toys. If your sex toy collection is limited to a couple vibes and some lube, I'd say that this is probably going to be just what you need.

The sides of the Foot Long Case are soft, unlike the Toybox's hard sides, so it will not provide as much protection. It will keep your sex toys clean though, and with the included lock, your toys will remain private. Finally, as mentioned in the description above, this case has no outside markings identifying it as being for sex toy storage, so it'll work as a perfectly normal toiletry kit next time you're traveling.

Toybox XL

I recently reviewed the Toybox, the Toybox XL's smaller sister. Before opening the Toybox XL, I was led to believe that it was more or less the same as the original Toybox, but with more space. To some degree, that's true, but along with the additional space comes a much more diverse storage solution.

The Toybox XL has six interior pockets that stick to the case's lining with Velcro. This is actually a really great feature because you can customize the internal storage to fit your specific needs. Another difference is the inclusion of several loops across the top of the case. These loops open with a Velcro fastener and I was easily able to fasten a 20-foot coil of rope, an 18-inch flogger and a riding crop. The crop had to sit vertically, but honestly - who cares! The case felt quite durable; knocking on the hard sides of the case made a nice solid-sounding sound.

Unless you have an unusually large sex toy collection, or some really big toys, this case will hold everything. Like the original Toybox, the construction of the Toybox XL is absolutely first rate, and I expect it to last longer than many of my toys.

Toybox

It seems like For Your Nymphomation has been all over the place lately. From magazines to blogs, it seems like everyone's buzzing about these excellent sex toy cases. Well, once I found out that VibeReview was going to be selling them, I said, "Yes please"!

The Toybox is seriously all it's cracked up to be. I previously owned the Lockable Vibrator Case, but it fell apart rather quickly. I have much higher expectations for the Toybox. As soon as I held the Toybox in my hands, it was clear that it was built to last. The exterior was in perfect condition, free of any nicks or other scuffs. The shell of the box seemed quite durable and, though I wasn't willing to throw mine out of the window, I'm fairly sure it could survive being dropped a fair distance. The Toybox has elastic straps on the inside of it that did a good job of holding my toys in place. I did try and put one really heavy stainless steel toy in and it fell out of the straps, but I think for 99% of the dildos and vibrators out there, the straps will work.

The Toybox did not hold all of my sex toys, but it does work to protect all of my more expensive toys, which is really what I had planned on using it for anyway. If you have kids, or some other reason to keep an extensive collection of toys hidden, there are two larger cases: the Toybox XL and the Toychest. Overall, this is highly recommended!
